Fahd Haque

A Michigan trial lawyer since 2014. He built Haque Legal from a one-attorney practice into a Bloomfield Hills litigation firm that families across metro Detroit trust with the cases that decide where their children live, whether they stay in this country, and how they recover after a serious injury.

Fahd Haque has spent his career in the rooms where outcomes get decided. Since May 2014 he has litigated in the Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb County circuit courts, the Detroit Immigration Court, and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. He founded Haque Legal, PLC in 2019 after five years in litigation practice and has grown it into a multi-attorney firm headquartered in Bloomfield Hills, serving clients statewide.

In family law, Fahd handles contested custody and parenting-time cases under the MCL 722.23 best-interest factors, divorce and property division, spousal support, child support, fathers’ rights, and prenuptial agreements. He prepares every family case as though it will be tried, and that preparation shapes how the other side negotiates. Clients get a candid assessment of their position at the first meeting, not after the retainer clears.

In immigration, he has tried asylum and withholding cases before the Immigration Judges of the Detroit Immigration Court, argued bond redeterminations under 8 U.S.C. § 1226 and Matter of Guerra, and defended clients in removal proceedings while the government was represented at every hearing. He also handles family-based petitions, work authorization, fiancé visas, and naturalization before USCIS. He wrote the firm’s guides on ICE detention and immigration bond hearings in Michigan.

In personal injury, he has negotiated policy-limits demands against Michigan’s largest auto insurers, litigated no-fault PIP disputes under MCL 500.3101 et seq., and handled serious-injury cases involving traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, and wrongful death. The firm has recovered more than $30 million for injury clients. Injury matters are handled on contingency, with no fee unless there is a recovery.
